Designed around your content, not an off-the-shelf template. Business covers up to 8 pages. Professional covers up to 20 and adds one of an online store, a booking system, a membership site or a learning platform. Both come set up for Google, including your Google Business Profile.
Hosting and care
One studio for the site and its upkeep. Our hosting runs on LiteSpeed with daily off-site backups, restore included. Care plans include that hosting, and add updates tested on a staging copy first and Wordfence monitoring. If a site on a care plan goes down, we respond within four business hours.
Custom business systems
For when the site has to run part of the business: custom plugins, integrations with the software you already use, loyalty and gift-card platforms, and old systems moved onto current WordPress. Quoted after a free first discovery, from R65,000 incl. VAT.

Midrand
We built smscodes.co.za, a short-code and USSD lookup service, in 2010, and we still run it. Vodacom pays for its upkeep, and Vodacom’s contact page puts the company’s corporate office in Midrand, as at 28 September 2026.
Web design in Randburg
Two of our clients give Randburg addresses on their own websites, as at 28 September 2026. GiftBucks’ home page lists a Randburg postal address. GiftBucks has been a client since 2003, and runs the gift-card platform we built and later rebuilt as a custom WordPress plugin (the GiftBucks story). Archiway Architects’ contact page gives a physical address in Sharonlea, Randburg, and we built the practice’s new website. Web design for Randburg businesses comes with the same prices and care plans as it does in Midrand.
What it costs
Our prices are published, in South African rand (ZAR) and incl. VAT, and they are the same in Midrand as anywhere else in the country. The two website packages have published prices; custom work is quoted after a free first discovery, with detailed scoping included in the build.

What does a web designer actually do?
A web designer plans and designs your website: what each page needs to say and in what order, how it looks, and how a visitor gets from the first click to an enquiry. We do that, then build the design on WordPress, set it up for Google, launch it and look after it. When a site needs features no ready-made plugin offers, that is WordPress development, and we do that too.
What are the 5 elements to a good website design?
Clear content, a simple structure, a design that fits the business and works on a phone, speed, and security that is kept up after launch. This is how we cover each one:
- Content: you supply the words, with a structured content brief from us, and one editing pass is free.
- Structure: planned as part of the custom design, around your content.
- Design: every Business and Professional site is custom-designed, not built on a template, and every site we build is fully responsive and works on phones. A display problem on a phone is fixed free.
- Speed: LiteSpeed caching is configured before launch.
- Security: Wordfence is configured before launch, and a care plan tests every update on a staging copy before it goes live.
Does it matter if my web designer is local?
Being close helps, and we work from Midrand: we meet clients online or in person, and travel is not a problem. But a website needs hosting, updates and the occasional fix long after launch, so a studio’s track record counts for more than its address. Since 2001, Fyre has built and run sites and systems for South African businesses, and for clients internationally in the UK, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe.
What happens if my website goes down?
If it is on one of our care plans, we respond within four business hours. Other care-plan requests get a response within one business day on the basic plan, or within four business hours on the full plan. If your site has no care plan and has been hacked or broken, website rescue starts from R5,200 incl. VAT, plus at least three months on a care plan, paid on top (R2,925 on basic).
