Network Dynamics — a logistics management system, rebuilt as a custom WordPress plugin

A client since before 2005, when the company traded as Flower Dynamics. The logistics management system we first built for them, since rebuilt, still runs the business, and a separate installation of it, 365ZIM, runs the same owner’s business in Zimbabwe.

The situation

Network Dynamics runs dry and cold-chain distribution from City Deep, Johannesburg. The company was founded in 2002 as Flower Dynamics, distributing floral products. In 2006 it shifted its focus to perishable and dry products and the logistics of perishables, and in 2016 it changed its name to Network Dynamics. That is the company’s own account, on its group’s public website, 365zim.com, as at 28 September 2026.

We have worked with them since before 2005, when they still traded as Flower Dynamics: that is the name on our own client list from 2005. The relationship spans both changes.

We built their logistics management system. It is an ordering, delivery and invoicing system that runs the business day to day, and it is private, with no public access.

The system was first built in the 2000s, when the business traded as Flower Dynamics, and it was upgraded in 2014. A new system, built to replace the old platform entirely, was started at the end of 2025 and finished in 2026.

What we built

The new system, finished in 2026, is entirely custom built: a 100% custom WordPress plugin, with security hardening, and no third-party plugins in the platform itself. That means it is code written for this business, running on WordPress, rather than an off-the-shelf product configured to fit it.

When a business runs on one system, it matters who is still there when that system has to be rebuilt. Here, the studio that built the first version also built the current one.

How it works

One platform runs in two places. Network Dynamics uses it in South Africa, and 365ZIM is a white-label, standalone instance of it for the same owner’s business in Zimbabwe. White-label means it runs under its own name, 365ZIM, rather than Network Dynamics’; standalone means it is a separate installation. 365ZIM is a public site with client log-ins; the system behind it is private, like the one in South Africa. We built the platform once, then deployed it again, for another business in another country. For our other work there, see website design in Zimbabwe.

What changed

More than twenty years into the relationship, the system still runs the business, and the same platform runs a second business, in Zimbabwe, as 365ZIM. In that time the company has changed its focus and its name, and kept the same studio.

What it runs on

WordPress, with the whole system written as one custom plugin and hardened for security. Hardening, on our servers, ranges from locked-down file access to bot protection. Wordfence guards the site the system runs on, as it does on every site.

We host 365ZIM, the Zimbabwe installation.
